ELGCC is delighted to present a competition to establish the Putter Champion of 2018.
Scotty Cameron is sponsoring the event and is providing 26 putters for use in the event.
Players must use these putters in the qualifying rounds and The Finals.
The competition will start on Tuesday 28th of August with 3 weeks to qualify for The Finals, which will be on Friday 21st of September starting from 4.00 pm.
The competition is open to everyone, no restriction of age, handicap or gender.
Prizes:
1st prize: 1 Scotty Cameron Newport/Futura Putter
2nd prize: 1 Titleist Vokey SM6 Wedges
3rd prize: 2 Dozen Golf Balls Titleist Pro V1
4th prize: $100 Food & Beverage Voucher from Emerald Lakes Golf Club
Entry fee: $5 for every Qualifying Round of 9 holes.
Official Rules:
- Qualifying Rounds are played in the putting green in front of the Club House on a designated 9 holes. Qualifying times are 12 pm to 7 pm daily.
- Qualifying Rounds will start on Tuesday 28th of August at 12 pm.
- On Friday 21st of September at 3 pm qualifying will be closed and the top 32 scores will qualify for The Finals.
- Players can play as many Qualifying Rounds as they want.
- The event is stroke play. Strict rules of golf.
- If a playoff is required to establish the 32 qualifiers it will be organized as a sudden death playoff at 3.30 pm on Friday 21st of September just before The Finals.
- The Finals will be played as ‘knockout stroke play’ over 9 holes except the Final for first and second which will be played over 18 holes.
Terms and conditions:
- The event is organised by Emerald Lakes Golf Coaching Centre.
- Any disputes will be adjudicated by ELGCC staff and their decision is final.
- Strict rules of golf (R&A) apply.
- Every player will have a scorecard and be marked by a member of the staff of the Coaching Centre.
- The qualifying round and The Finals must be played from the designated starting areas.
- In The Finals, if the scores are tied after regular 9 holes, the match continues by sudden death playoff.

- The event is ‘Open’ to all comers – male, female, junior, amateurs, professionals, members and non-members.
